Dehydrated skin lacks water, not oil, and can result in a dull, tight, or flaky complexion.

Here are some tips to help deal with dehydrated skin:

1. Increase Water Intake:
– Drink plenty of water throughout the day to hydrate your body from within. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water daily.

2. Use a Gentle Cleanser:
– Choose a mild, hydrating cleanser that won’t strip your skin of its natural oils. Avoid harsh cleansers with alcohol or strong detergents. We recommend our gentle cleanser currently available in our Self Care Kit.

3. Avoid Hot Water:
– Hot water can be drying to the skin. Use lukewarm water when washing your face or taking a shower to prevent further dehydration.

4. Use Hydrating Products:
– Incorporate hydrating products into your skincare routine. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides, which help attract and retain moisture. We recommend our Brightening Toner, Regenerating Rose & Shea Balm or Squalane.

5. Moisturize Regularly:
– Apply a good-quality moisturizer suitable for your skin type. Opt for a product that contains both humectants (draw moisture to the skin) and emollients (seal in moisture). We recommend our Regenerating Rose & Shea Balm or Squalane.

6. Add a Hydrating Serum:
– Consider using a hydrating serum with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or vitamin B5 to give your skin an extra boost of moisture. We have a wonderful hydrating serum that we’re working on!

7. Use a Humidifier:
– If you spend a lot of time in air-conditioned or heated environments, use a humidifier to add moisture to the air.

8. Limit Exfoliation:
– Reduce the frequency of exfoliation, as over-exfoliating can worsen dehydration. Choose gentle exfoliants and use them 1-2 times a week. We recommend our Clay face mask.

9. Protect Your Skin:
– Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from UV rays, which can contribute to dehydration. We recommend this one.

10. Consider Lifestyle Factors:
– Evaluate lifestyle factors that may contribute to dehydration, such as diet, stress, and lack of sleep. Ensure you are getting a balanced diet and managing stress levels. To destress we recommend using our Bath Salts, Anti-microbial foot salts or inquire about our Stress and Fatigue Pulse Point Roller.

11. Consult a Dermatologist:
– If your skin remains dehydrated despite your efforts, consider consulting a dermatologist. They can provide personalized advice and recommend products tailored to your skin’s needs.

Remember that consistency is key when addressing dehydrated skin. Implementing these changes into your routine gradually can help your skin regain its natural moisture balance.
